Elizabeth S. Pagel

Shareholder, Attorney, & Mediator

Elizabeth S. Pagel graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Sciences. After raising her children, she attended Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2006. Since passing the bar exam that year, she has dedicated her practice to family law issues. Elizabeth is also a trained and experienced family law mediator and is available to help attorneys and parties mediate their cases.

Elizabeth is a native of Wichita, Kansas, and has resided in the Houston area since 2002. She and her husband, Don, have been married for over 40 years and share three sons and four grandchildren. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys attending musicals with Don, making Sunday dinner for her family, and reading historical fiction.

She is a member of the Texas Family Law Foundation, the Texas Bar Association, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Garland Walker American Inn of Court, and the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inn of Court.

BLAIRE MIDGETT

Senior Paralegal

Blaire Midgett began working for Rachel E. Barron in April 2022. Her extensive customer service background and multiple years of experience as a paralegal have made her a priceless addition to the firm. Blaire is well-regarded among our professional colleagues and we look forward to seeing her obtain Board Certification as a Family Law Paralegal from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Blaire assists with client relations, managing the firm’s docket, ensuring deadlines are met, assisting the attorneys with drafting, preparing discovery responses, and supervising our non-attorney staff.

Bryce Pagel

Paralegal

Bryce Pagel is a top-flight paralegal and began working for Elizabeth S. Pagel in 2018. In addition to working closely with our clients in a professional and compassionate manner, Bryce keeps our office running smoothly and efficiently by handling all of our IT, computer, and technical needs.

Bryce is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a contracting specialist and received numerous awards and accolades. He is also the proud father of two children.

REID MIDGETT

Legal Assistant

Reid Midgett began working for Rachel E. Barron in March 2023 as a Client Intake Specialist.

Prior to joining our team, Reid worked for the Department of Family & Protective Services for 6 years investigating and supervising investigations of child abuse & neglect. Before working for DFPS, Reid had an extensive customer service background.

In his current role as Legal Assistiant, Reid helps with scheduling consultations, managing the office’s calendar, ensuring case files are accurately maintained, drafting pleadings and estate planning documents, and assisting with client relations.
